While direct exposure is important, you should avoid looking directly at the light. Instead, try doing something to stay busy and distracted from the light such as reading a book, watching television, or using your computer.   The light box is generally used first thing in the morning. Before You Buy a Light Box for SAD While light boxes are usually safe and effective, they are not regulated or approved by the FDA for treating SAD.  There are, however, requirements recommended by the Center for Environmental Therapeutics (CET) for effective light box therapy. Make sure that any unit you purchase meets these specifications. Talk to Your Doctor First While you can buy one without a prescription, always talk to your doctor before you begin treatment with a light box. There are some cases in which light therapy may not be advisable, such as if you have bipolar disorder. If you have eye conditions such as eye damage, glaucoma, or cataracts, you should consult with your ophthalmologist before using a light box. Clinical Testing The light box that you buy should have data from peer-reviewed clinical trials to back its effectiveness for treating SAD symptoms. â€Å"Against Love†, by Kathrine Philips, is a poem that was written in sixteen forty eight. â€Å"Against love† is based on rejection of love. There is a high price when it comes to love and there is no need for it, if it ends up being destructive. The speaker makes it indistinct that there is no need to get caught up in love and person can live their life content without being in love. There are countless thoughts that come to mind about the poem â€Å"Against Love†. The development, the history, and the person that put it together used many devices that has given this poem strength to last many centuries later. Love is not perfect, even if the picture is painted perfectly. Furthermore, â€Å"Against Love† is a poem that can be seen through the eyes of a person with no interest in being involved with love. The first words of the poem â€Å"Hence Cupid,† (Line 1) shows that the idea of love is not welcomed. The poem states, â€Å"Him whose heart i s all his own† (11). Refers to the concept that a person can love themselves and still be at peace. The speaker also states, â€Å"Peace and liberty dose crown, he apprehends no killing frown† (12-13). We can say that, in order to be classified as a role model, one should be different than other people. One may have an extra capacity or intelligence which he proved and that made the people love or hate him. A role model is, therefore, any tyrant or loving person that made some different thing from other people. When she was one year old, a shepherd called Samiramis found her. She was a child having a magnificent beauty; therefore, he gave her the name of Samiramis. As she grew up in age, Samiramis became popular for her extreme beauty in addition to her high intelligence. After a period of time , the governor of Nenoi called Mnones saw her. Charmed by her beauty, he fell madly in love with her and decided to marry her. Also, when the king Nenos saw Mnones's wife that is Samiramis he ordered Mnones to give him Samiramis, and he promised him that he would give him in return his daughter. Mnones loved too much his wife and he couldn't accept or bear the idea of losing her in addition to the fact that he doesn't dare to disobey the king's orders; therefore, Mnones killed himself . After Mnones's death, Samiramis had to marry Nenos. This latest died after 52 years from reigning the country, and he left the kingship to his wife as his only son was still very young. Samiramis spread the news of her reign all over the country and declared that every member in the country should obey her orders . She put in her finger the king's ring and she sat on the throne. Unfortunately, Samiramis misused her power. She wanted to have an immortal image and an unforgettable name, so she let her people build her the great city of Babylon which needed two million workers to achieve it . In addition to the great city of Babylon, Samiramis ordered her people to build various castles in which she lived and where she had too many gardens established on her honour. What we should add is that each one of these monuments had her name and a paragraph that certifies the power Samiramis had .
